This category comprises all agricultural, livestock and fishing products like fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, flowers and any other product whose nature makes it prone to deterioration, spoilage or expiration.

To ensure these products reach consumers in fresh condition, they must be packed appropriately and kept at the right temperature while en route. LATAM Cargo has developed robust processes and clear procedures regarding the use of mitigating elements such as blankets and gel packs to prevent exposure to high temperatures and therefore maintain perishables in optimal condition.

We may carry perishables as long as their validity is within the dates specified for transportation and the packaging is appropriate.

Other types of perishables include: newspapers and magazines, candy, some medicines, animal sperm, shellfish, frozen or fresh seafood, live plants, etc.

When shipping within Brazil, the transport of ice cream is restricted due to their high perishability.

In shipments within Brazil, cargo with one or more dimensions greater than 140 cm x 160 cm x 110 cm for a narrow flight or 300 cm x 200 cm x 240 cm for other flights, are considered Oversize and are subject to charges and analysis for acceptance, therefore, to send this type of cargo, consult our commercial team.
